Saltwater in Port Macquarie is an exposed point break that has quite reliable surf. Autumn and winter are the best times of year for waves. Ideal winds are from the southwest with some shelter here from south winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. Often Crowded. Beware of rocks and sharks.
