Praia Grande in Sao Paulo is an exposed beach break that is often working. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the northwest with some shelter here from east winds. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Good surf at all stages of the tide. A popular wave that can get growded. It can even get crowded enough to be dangerous.
