Portete in Esmiraldas is an exposed point break that has quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the southeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of sharks and rocks.
