Playa el Masnou in Catalunia is an exposed beach/Jetty break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the west. Able to handle light onshore wind There is too little fetch for groundswells to form and the best wave direction is from the east. The beach breaks favour lefts. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Rarely crowded here. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
