Playa de la Garita in Lanzarote is a fairly exposed beach and point break that has inconsistent surf. Summer in particular tends to be flat. The best wind direction is from the west. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell direction is from the north. The beach break provides left and right handers and in addition, there is also a left hand point break. Best around low tide. Hazards include rocks / crowds.

In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
