Pin Cushion on the North Coast is an exposed beach break that has consistent surf Works best in offshore winds from the west. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the east. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of rocks, sharks, rips and jellyfish.
