Perfect Wave in Waterford is an exposed beach and reef break that usually has waves and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the north. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and there is also a left hand reef break.. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Beware of rocks and rips.

In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
