Padangbai in Bali (Sanur) is a reasonably exposed point break that does not work very often. Nov-April (Wet Season) provides favoured time of year for waves. The best wind direction is from the west. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. Best around mid tide when the tide is rising. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.

FEATURE UPDATE: we now show red swell icons for 'open sea' swells that are travelling in an unfavourable direction for the surf break. In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
