Northcott in North Cornwall is a reasonably exposed beach break that has quite consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the east. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell angle is from the west. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Best around low tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Watch out for rocks/rips.

FEATURE UPDATE: we now show red swell icons for 'open sea' swells that are travelling in an unfavourable direction for the surf break. In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
