Surf Break: Newdicks Beach

Newdicks Beach in Bay of Plenty is an exposed beach and reef break that only works once in a while with no particular seasonal pattern. Works best in offshore winds from the south southwest with some shelter here from west winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the east northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around low tide when the tide is rising. Sometimes crowded. Watch out for rocks.
