Mtunzini in Kwazulu-Natal is an exposed beach break that does not work very often. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the west northwest. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. It very rarely gets crowded here.
