Morro das Pedras in Santa Caterina is a fairly exposed beach break that has quite reliable surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the northwest. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the south. The beach breaks favour rights. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
