Moliets Plage in Acquitaine is an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds are from the east. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the west. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Watch out for dangerous rips.

FEATURE UPDATE: we now show red swell icons for 'open sea' swells that are travelling in an unfavourable direction for the surf break. In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
