Site Message - Issued Wednesday September 8th. We have merged wave models for the Mediterranean, Baltic and Black Seas with the Global Model. Testing on our development machines suggests that things should run smoothly now that this is live but life is rarely this simple. If the next update of forecasts and maps looks like it is broken, this is probably the cause and we will have to revert to the previous model while we investigate. If it works ok, 72 hour forecasts for these areas will be available from now on. Because they tend to receive local wind swells rather than oceanic ground swells, things are not very predictable beyond 3 days which is why they won't go out to 7 days like our other forecasts.

Mirages in West Makran is a sheltered point break that has quite consistent surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Works best in offshore winds from the northwest. Windswells are much more common than groundswells and the best wave direction is from the south. Best around high tide. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Take care of sharks,sea snakes.
