MiddleRock in East London is an exposed reef break that has quite consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the best swell direction is from the south. A choice of left and right reefs. Sometimes crowded. Be warned that sharks have been sighted.
