Las Salinas in Santiago is a sheltered beach break that has very reliable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the southeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The beach breaks consists of lefts. Best around high tide. Sometimes crowded. The crowds in the water make a gath helmet a good idea.
