Lahinch in County Clare is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the east with some shelter here from north winds. I would suggest you look at the Ordnance Survey map (number 57). You will see Liscannor beach (not surfable) faces South, LeHinch(or La Hinch) beach faces South West and the cliffs below La Hinch face west. The large-scale map of Ireland erroneously indicates La Hinch beach faces West.
