La Placa in Andalucia is an exposed reef break that only works once in a while. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the south southwest. Short period wind swells are the rule and the ideal wave direction is from the east northeast. A reef breaks right. Best around low tide. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Take care to avoid the rocks.
