Kelpies on the East Coast is a fairly exposed point break that only works once in a while. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the east southeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest.The waves is a point break that peels left. A popular wave that can get growded. Hazards include rips, rocks, sharks and isolation.
