Izumi in Kanagawa and Chiba is an exposed river break that has inconsistent surf. Autumn and winter are the best times of year for waves. Ideal winds are from the northwest. Windswells are much more typical than groudswells and the ideal wave angle is from the southeast. Waves at the river are mainly lefts. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's sometimes crowded here.
