Grotta in Reykjanes Peninsula is an exposed reef break that has quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the east and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the west. No reef break here. An uncrowded break, even when it is working. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
