Granites on the West Coast is a quite exposed reef break that has very consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the east southeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the southwest. A left hand reef break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Rarely crowded here. Beware of urchins, rips, rocks and sharks.
