I am a Gloucester native and I have to agree with the previous post...the water is very very clean, great place when not too many tourists show up then it's to crowded so we go to the beaches for residents only and the water is clean at all of them. I'm so lucky and grateful to be a native, blessed be. Carol

Incorrect info on the water being "polluted", on the contrary it is actually very pristine.
