Gamboa in Santa Caterina is an exposed beach break that has very consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Take care of the strong rips here.
