East Pier in Port Alfred is an exposed beach/Pier break that only works once in a while. Summer in particular tends to be flat. The best wind direction is from the west northwest. Able to handle light onshore wind Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the south southwest. The beach breaks are all rights. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Take care of sharks and rocks.
