Despretes in New Georgia is an exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Ideal winds are from the east northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. There is a right hand reef break. Rarely crowded here. Beware of coral.
