Surf Break: Derecha de la Caleta

Derecha de la Caleta in Tenerife is an exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the south. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north northwest. There are left and right breaking reefs. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care of rocks in the line up.
