Culdaff in Donegal is a fairly exposed beach break that has consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The best wind direction is from the southwest and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the optimum swell angle is from the north. The beach break provides left and right handers. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when the surf is up, crowds are unknown. Take care to avoid the rocks.
