Visitor Reviews of China Walls

Lexi from UNITED STATES writes:

I don't think the people at China Walls today at around 4pm would ever read this review but I just wanted to thank them immensely for their heroism today! I was the girl that knew the water was too dangerous for her to voluntarily go swim in but had no idea that ridiculously powerful waves could out of no where sweep people off the edge of the rocks (a warning to any visitors reading this before going). One thing that has made this place feel like a true paradise is how caring and good natured the people who live here are. The surfers in the water came to my rescue the second I fell in. One held my hand and told me to dive under a wave that would have damn near drowned me or thrown me into the rocks further. Another gave me his surfboard to stay afloat since my leg was all busted and directed me to the easiest way out. A man was waiting for me with an outstretched hand to help me out of the water. You have to get the timing just right with the waves or they will just smash you into the rocks and then pull you back out before you can climb up. Once out, there was so much blood gushing from my knee and select other cuts... one nice woman came over and gave us all of the ice she had in her cooler and another was ready to give me the shirt off her back to help stop the bleeding! Reading articles on this spot just made me realize how lucky I was to just have a few chunks of skin missing and not my life. I was fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing and genuinely caring people. Thank you thank you thank you and I hope that if you ever find yourselves in trouble like I did, karma will plant some good people there to help you as well.
