Cape Three Points on the Gold Coast is an exposed point break that usually has waves. The surf tends to be optimum in the spring. Works best in offshore winds from the northeast. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south southwest. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for rocks.

FEATURE UPDATE: we now show red swell icons for 'open sea' swells that are travelling in an unfavourable direction for the surf break. In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
