Brighton on the South Coast is a fairly exposed beach/pier break that does not work very often. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the north. Windswells are much more typical than groudswells and the best wave direction is from the southwest. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Likely to be crowded if working. Beware of groynes, rips and pollution.

IMPORTANT: Beta version feature! Swell heights are open water values from NWW3. There is no attempt to model near-shore effects. Coastal wave heights will generally be less, especially if the break does not have unobstructed exposure to the open ocean.
