Blowhole in Bay of Plenty is a fairly exposed point break that has pretty consitent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the southwest. Waves can be ok even in light onshore winds Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the northeast. No point break here.
