Big Wave Bay in - is a sheltered beach break that has pretty consitent surf The best wind direction is from the northwest. Most of the surf comes fis in the form of windswells and the best wave direction is from the northeast. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
