Bergen aan Zee on the West Coast is an exposed beach break that has quite consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Ideal winds are from the east. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Best around high tide when the tide is falling. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Be wary of rips - they make surfing here dangerous.
