Baya Reef in West Java is an exposed reef break that usually has waves. May-Oct (Dry Season) is the best time of year for waves. Offshore winds blow from the east northeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. There is a left hand reef break. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Watch out for rocks.

FEATURE UPDATE: we now show red swell icons for 'open sea' swells that are travelling in an unfavourable direction for the surf break. In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
