Baratti Il Dado in West Coast of Italy is a fairly exposed beach and point break. Autumn and winter are the best times of year for waves. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast with some shelter here from west winds. The ideal swell direction from the west northwest. The beach breaks are all lefts and there is a left hand point break as well. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for rips, rocks and sharks.

FEATURE UPDATE: we now show red swell icons for 'open sea' swells that are travelling in an unfavourable direction for the surf break. In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
