Swell from Hurricane Danielle is now arriving on the coast of NW Europe and for much of France, Britain and Ireland, it is meeting offshore winds. September conditions do not get much better than this. Swell height is around the 1m mark but the period, in the range 15-20 secs, means that exposed breaks are generally well overhead on the well-separated sets. Drop everything and get on it! Should last through the weekend, with the period getting shorter and the wave height growing.

Anglet-Les Cavaliers in - is an exposed beach break that has very consistent waves and works all around the year. Offshore winds are from the east with some shelter here from southwest winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the west. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. A popular wave that can get growded. Take special care here if it gets very crowded.
