  I live right above this spot -- about 300 feet from the waters edge and run a B&B called the Ocean Hideaway. This is a very "local" spot and not many folks even know it exists, but the surfers and boarders here are very welcoming and happy to share their little slice of heaven. I have some good friends in Montanita who will come on down here (about 90 minutes) when the waves are just not happening up there. Something about how we are located on the south side of the Santa Elena Peninsula provides waves when there are none on the rest of the coast. If you go onto FaceBook look up John Londres (who owns John Johns Surf shop up in Montanita) he has some excellent video of from about November which is definitely not the high season for surfing here, and he and his pal Pavel a boarder had an ecellent time.   Quality on a good day: 3.0 (1 star: Even when the swell and winds are optimum, the waves are poor quality, 5 stars: If conditions are right, the waves will be World Class).	Consistency of Surf: 2.0 (1: Anconcito is a fickle surf spot that only works a few times a year. 5: Reliable year-round spot).
  Difficulty Level: 3.0 (1: Suitable for Groms. 3: Intermediates. 5: Expert tow-in surfers only).	Water Quality: 2.0 (1: Known health risks from pollution. 5: Never any pollution).
  Crowds: 4.0 (1: Often too crowded. 5: Anconcito is an isolated spot where you are unlikely to meet other surfers).	Access: 5.0 (1: Getting to Anconcito requires an overland expedition or chartering a boat. 3: A 30 minute walk from the nearest parking. 5: Park a vehicle right by the break).
